Day two of the sequester. I'm at Starbucks on Roswell Road while my car gets an oil change and a tire rotation at DeKalb Tire.
A block away, up
at Mt. Vernon and Roswell Road, a bunch of fully-employed police
officers have pulled over some poor unfortunate and cordoned off the
area. Blue lights everywhere. Doubtless, they're looking under seats for spare change to fund ongoing operations.
The
people driving/walking/jogging by the front of Starbucks wear the grim
mien of the fiscally damned, but we are a resilient people and I have
no doubt that with Emperor Obama's help, we will pull through this.
